Humanities Truck Community Archive
The Humanities Truck team attended the Anacostia River Festival in May 2025. Graduate fellows Daiki Tsumagari, Madison Weber, Inaya Rivera, and Ethan Norris-Weber, along with community fellow Angie Whitehurst and Director Dan Kerr, facilitated activities at the truck table. Inaya Rivera, provided her Go-Go Music exhibit, prompting attendees to reflect on the genre and its impact on their lives. The “Women in Go-Go: Scene Unseen” project first debuted at the Anacostia River Festival on May 4, 2024. The truck showcased a physical version of the exhibit, set out prompt cards to encourage public engagement with the history or women in go-go, and set up an interview station inside the Humanities Truck to interview go-go fans of all ages. Video interviews, interview transcripts, photographs from the event, and digitized ephemera from the event are included in this digital collection.
