Humanities Truck Community Archive
The Humanities Truck participated in the 2024 rededication of the Mary McLeod Bethune Memorial statue, located in Lincoln Park on July 13, 2025. The event was organized by the National Park Service. The rededication ceremony marked the 50th anniversary of the statue’s unveiling and dedication and the 149th Anniversary of the Birth of Mary McLeod Bethune in Lincoln Park. The Humanities Truck team conducted oral history interviews with event attendees regarding their insights and enecdotes about Mary McLeod Bethune and her work. This digital collection includes photographs of the event, video oral history intervies, and interview transcripts.
