Humanities Truck Community Archive
On June 22, 2024, the Humanities Truck team attended the D.C. Home Rule Music Festival at The Parks Historic Walter Reed in Northwest D.C. Graduate Fellows Inaya Rivera and Daiki Tsumagari and Community Fellow Angie Whitehurst showcased the "Rock The Republic" exhibit on D.C. Punk history, created by first year MA Public History students Tsumagari, Ava Barabasz, and Isabella Parrotta for their practicum project. Additionally, Mellon Fellow with the National Parks Service Dr. Rami Stucky showcased an exhibit from his project, "Documenting Punk and Go-Go in the Nation's Capital." This digital collection features photos at the event and oral history interviews conducted by Rivera and Tsumagari at the event.
